Q1: I am a foreign student in the US. Am I eligible to participate in the BBSI or SSBR programs?

A:
Yes, however, you will need to find funding to cover your expenses from another source. 
Expenses are typically $10,000 for BBSI participants, $6,000 for SSBR participants.

Q2: I am a bio/biomedical engineering major. Am I eligible for BBSI?

A:
No, but you may be eligible for the SSBR program.  BBSI is open to science and engineering majors except bioengineering/biomedical engineering majors.  SSBR is open to all science and engineering majors
enrolled in South Carolina institutions, including bioengineering/biomedical engineering majors.

Q3: I am a student from a non-South Carolina institution. 
Am I eligible to participate in the SSBR program?

A: No, but you may be eligible to participate in the BBSI program.

Q4: My permanent home address is in South Carolina, but I am a biomedical engineering major
at a school outside of the state of SC. Am I eligible for either BBSI or SSBR?


A: Yes, you will be eligible to apply for and participate in SSBR as long as you are a US
citizen with permanent residency in the state of South Carolina.

Q5: Can I apply for both the BBSI and the SSBR programs?

A: No, You can only apply to one.  However, the admissions committee will evaluate all applicants
and assign them to the appropriate program depending upon eligibility criteria.

Q6: Will my travel to Clemson be reimbursed?

A: Yes, up to $500 if you travel from out of state. If you travel from within SC,
you may be reimbursed for your travel based on availability of funds.
