Program Overview
CU-MUSC Joint BioE Program Website Press Release, Sept 2003In 2003, a formal agreement between Clemson University and the Medical University of South Carolina led to the establishment of the CU-MUSC Bioengineering Program on the MUSC campus in Charleston, SC, where Clemson University faculty and their research personnel maintain full-time laboratories and office space. This joint program provides a clinical setting that offers tremendous opportunities for both faculty and students.
Enhanced videoconferencing capabilities allow ease of communication between campuses. Students enrolled at Clemson and MUSC can take advantage of this joint research-training program.
Students can pursue a joint MD/ PhD or DMD/ PhD with the PhD in bioengineering from Clemson and the MD or DMD from MUSC.
